Before there was an app, there was a map to dignity.
During segregation, Black travelers relied on guides such as The Negro Motorist Green Book to find places where they could eat, sleep and travel with greater safety. Those pages were more than listings. They were a network of knowledge, resilience and economic support.
Black List carries that principle into the present: make Black-owned businesses easier to find, make community recommendations easier to share, and make support a habit—not a moment.

A living inheritance
From movement to marketplace.
Julian Bond helped shape the modern civil rights movement as a founding member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, a Georgia legislator, an educator and later chairman of the NAACP. His work joined moral clarity with organized action.
Created by his family, Black List is not a monument to that history. It is a way to keep the work moving—connecting memory, community and economic participation.
